We receive so many happy letters and
photos, we thought it would be fun for
everyone to read.  If you have a
"Happily Ever After Tail"  you would like
to share about your dog you adopted
from us, please feel free to sent it to
DMAPuppyRescue@comcast.net.
In 2006 our two old friends were too sick and in too much pain to go on. They
closed their beautiful eyes for the last time and went to dogie heaven. The grief
was overbearing. We needed to take a break from caring for any little friends for
a while. We just couldn't!! Within two months we were looking for another little
friend that needed our help and love. We searched and searched and believe me
they all needed love and a friend. Then it happened.. my wife said to me look at
the pictures of these dogs..which would you pick? I said that one!! it was Layla..
We had to have that dog. We sent out our application, made a few calls and
hoped we would be the "right match" for Layla. A phone call came and within a
few days we drove into the night on our four hour journey to meet Layla. It was a
ride filled with great anticipation..would we meet the bill to take Layla home?
It's been a year since that day. Our Little Layla has intertwined with our hearts
and we consider this match a love that was meant to be.
We think Layla does too!

Layla
From day one, she's been a great girl: never, ever has caused a problem, has
the run of the house with Monty while I'm out, and generally has become my
best girlfriend: she and Monty share the home and have never had a conflict.
They eat, sleep, exercise and play together every day.

Kara's a riot: we live in a somewhat rural area, and whenever there's noise
outside (& sometimes even when there's not), she sets off on a
ferocious-sounding barking-binge, and paces the house. This includes many
rude awakenings in the middle of the night. But....drop a napkin on the floor,
make a loud noise in her presence, or otherwise catch her off-guard, and she
scoots off like a frightened rabbit!

We walk daily, and often ride in the car, both which she enjoys. She takes treats
gently, but doesn't care for toys. Her only consistent plaything: soupbones: she's
got a large collection of them. She can be a bit pushy when it comes to
attention, but walks away and finds her couch with only a "Go away, Kara".

What can I say, except we're all very happy, and I am thankful you let Monty & I
invite Kara in to share our home.

Best Regards:

Jim

Kizzie
We adopted Penelope in April as a playmate and sister for our 7 year black lab,
Karma.  We renamed her Kizmet which immediately became Kizzie.  She is a
wonderful addition to our family.  She assimilated really well.  She is obedient,
affectionate, and smart as a whip.  She keeps her older sister young running
round and round the house. She is one of the happiest dogs we know.  Her tail
wags her.  She learned her boundaries with the invisible fence very quickly with
virtually no training.  We thought we were happy with one lab.  Now we are
twice as happy with two.  We would not hesitate in the least to adopt again from
your rescue in the future.

We adopted Kasey in the summer of 2007. With three other rescue dogs in
the family (each of our adult children adopted a dog in the past two years), we
were a little concerned about the adjustment. However, Kasey enjoys the
company of Loki, Brandy, and Murphy, and appears to be completely
unaware that he (at about 8 pounds) weighs about 1/6 of what they weigh. His
favorite sleeping companion is Brandy, and he snuggles up to her for many of
his naps. Bianca clearly socialized him well, and he blended in very quickly
with the routine of the other dogs and of the household. Thank you, Bianca,
for preparing him so well for family life.

Best regards,

I wanted to share our story about the puppy we adopted on November 30, 2007.
We know that we wanted to get another puppy & we also know that we wanted
to rescue that special one. I looked on Petfinder's & saw a puppy who was
named Baby. I guess you could say it was love at first sight. I know that as soon
as we saw her she would be coming home with us to be spoiled along with our
other dog Nicki. We named her Mollie & she is soooooo spoiled. The first night
we had her, she slept with us & has been there everynight since, along with
Nicki. She has brought us lots of love & we love her so.

I think that Bianca is a very special person to this & I truly appreciate what this
rescue has given us. We will be Mollie's forever Mommy & Daddy!!!!!

Thank you,

Chris & Jim
I Look So Pretty
I can't tell you how happy we are with this little girl.  She fits right in ( as you
can see ). Since they both got groomed together last week, we're really having
a hard time telling them apart ! You certainly helped to make our holidays a
VERY happy one.....

A Blessed  & Merry Christmas to you & your family ...

Janet &  Joe
In January of 2007 we faced the worst thing a pet owner can face; we had to
make the decision to put down our 13 ½ year old chocolate lab, Miss Murphy
Brown.  While our entire family was devastated, none more so than our 7 year
old black lab, Riley.  We all understood that Riley would need a new
companion to help her through her, and our, grief.  Knowing that my parents
did not want to go through the trials of training a new puppy and knowing there
is a huge demand for people willing to rescue dogs, especially labs, I
suggested that they look into rescue.

Having known Bianca for years, my Dad mentioned to her that we would be
willing to adopt a female lab.  In less than two weeks Bianca got back to us and
said that she had an 8 month old black lab named Maxine for us.  Though it
was sooner than we had planned, we took Maxine home and instantly she
became part of our family.

Maxine has bonded on every level with us as well as Riley.  We even believe
that Riley thinks she is Maxine’s Mom.  They truly are inseparable.  It has been
almost a year now and as we look forward to our first Christmas with Maxine
(we hope our tree will survive), Max (as we call her) has wiggled her way into
our lives and our hearts with her long ears and even longer tongue and has
firmly rooted herself in our family.  While it breaks our hearts to think that
someone could give her up so easily, we know it was because she was meant
to be a part of our family.  We will always be grateful to Bianca for bring us
together!!
We would Love to thank you for letting us Foster for you, and then letting us
Fail at Fostering for you.   Kassidy (now Poodle) has found a forever home
in both our house and our hearts – I can’t tell you enough times how much of
an impact she has had on us and our other “kids” – we all Absolutely adore
her and spoil her rotten.  She is definitely the queen of the household and we
can’t imagine our lives without her!
Poodle has learned what it really means to be a “Dog” –  and I know you had
a lot to do with that!!!!  She now runs around with her toys and loves to tease
her big brothers with them.  She plays and plays and plays – it is such an
experience to see her blossom more and more each day.
Thanks so much for giving us the opportunity to meet and fall in love with
POODLE!!!!!
Love you!
Megan and Bill
He is such a handsome and sweet boy, everyone loves him, and despite his
small stature, he has a huge heart with plenty of room for our whole family.
We travel to the mountains every chance we get, and this summer he
learned all about boats. He loves to go out on the lake and sit on my lap, with
the wind whipping through his long ears. My brother's dog, Cuddles (A
lab/chow mix), loves to have him visit, and we call him her mini-me because
they both have the same curly hair and swishy tales, and both are kissing
machines! Mr. Bing even gets along with my mother's rescued bulldog,
Emma. Emma is very sweet and non aggressive, but has territory issues with
other dogs. Somehow she is happy to share the foot of the bed with Bing (a
miracle as far as we are concerned).
I am so grateful to you for bringing him into my life. He has truly become
a member of the family, and we can't imagine anyone being willing to give
him up (although thankfully they did - maybe they knew we needed him!)

Lilly
Rescued out of mill on January 20th, 2007

Lilly is our special little princess who wouldn't be here with us today if Bianca
didn't take the time to make her feel she could trust humans and of course if
Bianca didn't believe in us!  As you can see, she is a beautiful, strong girl
with so much personality that she lights up the whole house. She provides
much needed "back-up" in the guard dog department for our other adoptee,
Meshu (saved from the Staten Island Shelter here in NYC) and is a much
loved big sister for Maddie. Our lives would not be the same without her
kisses and enthusiasm for life.

Maddie
Rescued out of mill on February 7th, 2007

Maddie was adopted after her "sister" Lilly because of our love for
Shih Tzus, but also because our love for Lilly. We had the chance to see
what beautiful, loving dogs these mill rescues can be and made room in our
hearts for rescue #4-Miss "Maddie Fang"!  She loves lounging on the couch
at night with her "mommy" and dinnertime is her favorite time of day. She is
squeezable and lovable and a sidekick for her sister at all times. They are
inseparable. Thank you Bianca and family for saving this precious little girl
for us until we could take her!!

Sadie Olivia
Where do we begin with our little "Sadie Monster" as Bianca so
affectionately called her?  It has been a tough transition here with our other
4 babies (2 mill girls and 2 shelter rescues-plus cats!), but now that Sadie
Olivia has settled in, she is so much fun!  She and "sister" Maddie have fun
everyday wrestling with each other. She loves to go for walks with all her
sisters and even her "brother" Meshu who is still not quite used to her.  She
has learned to leave Kenny the Cat alone (he scratches!!!) and no longer
bothers her oldest "brother" Georgie. All in all, it has taken awhile but she
now is a full fledged member of the pack and we love her lots.

Thanks to Bianca for her patience with this adoption...not the smoothest
transition, but sometimes the best things take time.

Caleb
Being a friend of Bianca’s since 1999 I volunteered to help her out and be foster
mom. Since I already had two golden retrievers what’s one more dog?  I went with
her to pick up 5 dogs from a shelter that was out of room.  Since this was the 1st
time I ever fostered she sent Caleb home with me (thinking I wouldn’t fall in love
with him).  Well from the 1st day I knew I could never let him go.  He was around
3 months old and so frightened when he came to stay.  It took a couple of weeks
for him to come around but now he is a happy go lucky dog.  Caleb is now
coming up on his 2nd birthday, we don’t know his exact b-day so we celebrate it
on Valentines day it seems to fit him perfect.  We now call him K-Love because of
all the love he gives to us.  Every morning he wakes up so happy he goes around
to all the other dogs and gives them kisses and smiles.  He is hilarious, his tail
doesn’t wag, it goes around in circles.  Caleb is such a good boy we love him so
much and we’re glad we were his foster failure and now his forever family.

Lexie May
Where do I begin with our little Lexie May.  Bianca rescued Tinkerbell (Lexie’s
mom) from a not so good breeder only to find out Tinkerbell was PREGNANT.  On
April 27, 2007 she gave birth to 5 beautiful puppies.  Bianca stayed by Tinkerbell
side the whole night helping her with the delivery.  I went over that day to check
out these little guys nestled all together with proud Tinkerbell at their side.  I went
back every week to see them (I couldn't get enough of them). I ended up adopting
Lexie.  She is our precious little girl.  Her and my other dog Mallory are like two
peas in a pod you never see one with out the other.  Although she is the smallest
of our dogs she thinks she is the toughest always teasing the others.  We love our
little Lexie May May!!!

McKenna
We love our McKenna who we call often call Kenny!  There is never a dull
moment when she is around, always managing to get getting herself into some
kind of trouble:)  She truly is the happiest dog I know.  Sometimes I think she is
just so happy to be alive!  She either has a smile on her face or a toy in her
mouth.  Her favorite days of the week are Thursdays & Fridays when she gets to
go to the Urban Hound for daycare!  We are so luck to have her, she has made
an awesome addition to our pack.
Love Always,
Kevin & Michelle

To our readers:  I was a volunteer foster mom for the rescue but it was to much
for me to handle, I would get to emotionally attached to the dogs.  So now I
volunteer my time for the rescue in other ways.  I started up this website for DMA
Puppy Rescue, so if you happened to notice a lot of pictures of Jameson,
Mallory, Caleb, Lexie & McKenna on here thats because their my pride and joy.
My dogs are my kids and like any proud parent I love to show them off.  I hope
you enjoy this site as much as I enjoy making it, especially posting Happily Ever
After Stories (keep'em coming).

We just wanted to say thank you from the bottom of our hearts for getting
Walker for us.  Within the first hours he was home, moved right in to all
of our hearts and kisses for everyone.  We feel as though we had
Walker or Walkie as we like to call him forever.  As you know we went
back and forth for quite some time and yes we want a dog, no now is not
a good time but we can't imagine home without him now.

I also wanted to give you a personal thank you... for your patience and
kindness you have given us.  Especially after we got Walker home.  We
always said "call Bianca"-"call Bianca" and you always were there for us.

I have attached a picture of Walker, he just nudged my arm with his nose
to say that he also thank you from the bottom of his heart too :)

Dearest Bianca,
How can I possibly thank you for bringing Teddy and Squirt into our
lives? Talk about failing at fostering within the first second of meeting
them! Geez! I literally fell in love with them at "Hello". Adding these boys
to our family has made us so happy!! Even with the accidents that are
becoming less and less frequent, we can't imagine life without these
handsome boys!! Lance and Logan have taken to them and they are all
one big, happy pack. We all have our own assigned seats when it comes
to sleeping in our bed at night-basically it's everyone pile on Mommy!!!
Our sons, Brandon and Jason adore the dogs and are always getting
laughs from watching them play. It's only been four months together but I
can't remember what it was like without Teddy and Squirt, nor do I want
too! We all have so much fun together and are very, very happy. I think
you are the most amazing women, you and your mom, for doing what
you do for these animals. I am very proud to call you my friend.
I love you!!!
Love,
Linda, Greg, Brandon and Jason

We have had our little "Hannah Bananas" now for a little over a
month and things are going GREAT! She kindly broke in my
husband on the way home from picking her up by pooping on his
hand (hehe) and I knew right then and there that she was going to
be perfect for our house!
When we came in the door her big sister Corona was there to greet
her and the two of them have been inseparable ever since. The play
together, sleep together and occasionally bicker when they are
stealing toys from each other. They are truly sisters.
Hannah quickly learned the routine around the house and has even
adjusted to work days with dad. Initially she was not a big fan of the
car and she is still really shy around new people, but she is definitely
getting the hang of it. She will do just about anything we ask of her
as long as we have Corona do it first.... she is such a stinker! hehe
And, her big sister loves the attention from strangers so she is
usually able to do her cute little sit, stay for a minute (to be polite...of
course) and then she welcomes letting her big sis in to gobble up
whatever attention they might want to give.
THANK YOU so much for blessing us with our amazing little girl.
Sincerely-
Megan Connell

Abigail Marie
I just wanted to send in an update on Abigail.  Since June
when I picked her up, she has brought many things to our
home.  Not only a sassy yet extremely playful disposition
(which I love!) but a lot of love and entertainment.  I can not
lie, she is and will continue to be a training challenge, but that
comes with adopting a dog that spent a year and a half of
their life without training!  Although this presents hurdles at
times, I don’t think she could have found a more perfect
home!  Thanks for everything each of you do on a daily basis
to give these pets a new chance at life.

With much appreciation,

The Wynnes’
Just wanted to give you an update and send some pictures
of our sweet Cocker Chloe (we changed a few letters to
re-name her from Cleo as there are two Cleo's in the
neighborhood already) who was rescued back in
December.

She is the sweetest girl, loves people, kids and other dogs.
Has lots of friends in the neighborhood, and loves to play
with her toys.  Chloe is completely housebroken, loves to be
brushed and groomed and still carries a toy around in her
mouth. She still has her fuzzy top!

People even stop their cars to say hi and tell her what a
cute, sweet girl she is.

Here are some photos - she says Hi and thanks for giving
her the chance for such a loving home!!

Our Pack
Caleb is hiding in the back
Cooper came into our lives quite unexpectedly and unplanned.  We lost our
adopted dog Boomer on July 30 to kidney failure.  He was our “son” for
11+ amazing years and losing him was devastating.  We had not planned
on adopting another dog any time soon, given the emotional roller coaster
we had just journeyed.  Yet one night (or morning I should say) at 2am in
another deeply depressed hour, we searched for a dog that matched
Boomer’s description, strictly on a whim- as if there were a dog out there
like him, a mixed breed whose exact origins were never known (just a
yorkie mix).  Then one click of the mouse and “wham” there he was, a dog
who looked miraculously just like Boomer!  We couldn’t believe our eyes.
So we emailed the rescue agency, Dad’s My Angel, hoping to at least meet
him.  We met him the very next day, and it was love at first sight!
It turns out that Cooper was rescued by Dad’s My Angel from a shelter on a
night that over 70 dogs had been brought in that evening, and due to no
room, all of them were in line to be euthanized that very same night!
Bianca arrived at that shelter and rescued as many dogs as she could, one
of whom was Cooper.  Cooper was emaciated, flea infested, scared and
submissive.  3 weeks later, we met him, and under Bianca’s diligent care in
that time, Cooper had gained weight, was rid of fleas, and had received all
of his shots, was neutered, and micro-chipped.  He was 100% ready for
adoption, and we happily drove him to his new home with us, where he
would soon meet all of his new brothers and sisters (1  10yr old male dog,
2  16yr old female cats, 1  3yr old female cat, and 1 2yr old male cat), as
well as his “grandmom” and her 11 month old male Cockapoo, who live
around the corner.  Cooper ran right up our steps and into his new home
as if he knew he belonged, and all of animals (except of course the alpha
animal “Diva”- our oldest), amazingly and readily accepted him!
Over this past month, Cooper has been having a blast, chasing and playing
with his brothers and sisters, or playing with all of his ‘too-many’ toys
(which often involves stealing one away from his doggie brother Cheero),
meeting all of his neighbors and friends, and his favorite thing: visiting with
grammie’s 11 mth old Cockapoo Chase.  They play chase, and tug-of-war,
and wrestle, and basically “wreak havoc” in their homes, but all in good
fun.  Cooper enjoys taking his walks, eating his meals, mooching for more,
stealing ice cubes when they “accidentally” fall on the floor, and posing for
lots of photos. In fact, Cooper particularly loves playing in his house,
because the floors are all tile and he, his toys, and whomever he is chasing
can all slide across the floor as if it were an ice hockey rink.  What fun!
But the best part of Cooper’s day comes at the end of it: sleeping in his
parents’ bed with all of his furry siblings.  We’ve truly experienced a “re-
birth” together, because both Cooper and his parents are “starting over”,
and living life to the fullest!  Thank you, Bianca, for rescuing Cooper, and
us! :-)

Woof!
Cooper
