Here is our newest addition "HOPE"
(these pictures were taken when she first arrived)

Hope is 1 1/2 year old little girl that found herself in a shelter to be
euthanized after someone dumped HOT fryer oil all over her!  She
sustained multiple burns, some very severe!  We were lucky enough to
be at the shelter when she came in!  Hope was in so much pain, but I
reached in her kennel and she managed to lift her head up and snuggle
against my hand and  lick it!  My wonderful other half and I were so
shocked by what we saw we were speechless!  Of course we told the
rescue coordinator at the shelter we would take her home with us and
try to make her all better!  Hope went home with us and then straight to
the vet!  Hope spent 2 days there after having surgery to remove the
burned skin!  Apparently from what our vet told us, Hope was walking
around with those burns for a few days there was already an infection
setting in!

Hope came home with us after her painful procedures with tons of
medicines, ointments and special shampoos!  We are hoping we can get
her through this without a major infection setting in!

Through all that Hope has been through so far... she is sooo sweet!
Her favorite thing to do is eat and cuddle with one of us!  She is still  in
pain, but we are controlling it with topical ointments and oral meds as
needed!  She doesn't mind having her dressings changed or her burns
cleaned!  No matter how uncomfortable it is for her she just stands
there and lets us do it!

Please keep our little Hope in your prayers!
