This little girl is Bumble Bee our sweet little Yorkie girl! Bumble Bee was freed from a Lancaster Puppy Mill on Nov 7th 2007! Little Bumble is the Mommy of countless litters of Puppies that have been sold in local Pet stores for HUGE Profits! When we first got little Bumble Bee, we did not think she was going to make it! She had the worst case of Coccidia ( a parasite) and the worst set of teeth we had ever seen! Poor Bumble had to go through several blood tests to rule out any underlying medical issues! Her Belly was so bloated that it was painful to her when we touched her! We were leaning toward liver failure only to find out her liver was fine! After her Coccidia cleared up we scheduled her spay and her dental! Our vet called us and said that Bumble had been severely abused! She had several scars on her uterus and her insides were bruised and torn! She had to remove all of Bumble's reproductive organs only to find a very capsulated tumor in one of her ovaries! The tumor was hidden in so much scar tissue that it did not show up on blood-work, x-rays nor ultra sound! While under anesthesia Bumble had to have every single tooth left in her little mouth removed! Some of her teeth in the back were broken down to the gum line! Our little Bumble spend 4 days in the hospital ! She was in so much pain the first few days that she had to get pain meds every few hours! Bumble is now home with us where is will stay! She is still very shy, but she is starting to like life outside of a wire cage! She loves her food and treats and you would never know she does not have a single tooth left in her mouth! Her hair is also growing back and she is learning the ropes of how to go potty outside! We are not sure how much time Bumble has left with us, but one thing is for sure! She will never have to go through any pain or suffering again! She will never have to sleep on wire ever again! She will never have to give birth to puppies ever again! And she will never have to go days without food or water ever again! She will never experience anything but Love, Hugs and Kisses for the rest of her days!

Gracie is a 5 month old Puppy Mill survivor! She was brought into this world in one of the most horrendous Puppy Mills in the area! We got her because she is VERY ill, and the Miller wanted to get rid of her or he was going to kill her and use her for dog food! No I am not kidding, he is known to kill the weak, sick and the not sellable ones and feed them to the other poor starving dogs on his very HUGE farm! Gracie made it out, Thank God, but she is suffering from a very bad heart! She has a Grade 5 Heart Murmer and might not be with us very long (we hope this is not the case)! She is a very sweet little girl and she wants to be a puppy so badly, but her heart won't let her! She does not have the energy to run very long or play so instead she sleeps alot! She loves to be held and snuggles up to us as close as she can get! The only thing that goes non stop is her little tail! We hope that her condition will somehow get better, surgery is not an option, we can only hope her body corrects it to a lesser murmer and then medicine will do the rest to let her live a happy life! Update We have exiting news! We have found a heart surgeon that is willing to operate on our little Gracie! Gracie will be traveling on Wed May 21, 2208 to Columbus Ohio! Her foster mom Kim is making the 7 hour journey with her! Please keep Gracie in your prayers!! It is her only chance to live a long life. May 24, 2008 Gracie underwent her PDA heart surgery on May 23rd with Dr. Thaibinh Nguyenba, at MedVet in Columbus Ohio and she did wonderful! Won't you please make a donation so we can continue to save these innocent lives!

My Name is Muffin I'm a sweet, loving and well behaved little Maltese/Shih-Tzu girl that was rescued from a Puppy Mill in MD! I spent my whole life in a Puppy Mill giving birth to my puppies only to have them taken away from me and sold for huge profit! All these years delivering and nursing puppies has done some awful things to my little body! I was in so much pain when these nice ladies came to rescue me! My teeth were so bad some of them were split in half! I also had this horrible infection in my uterus called Pyometrea! They tell me Pyometrea is a infection that fills the uterus up with pus and most Mommy dogs don't survive! But lucky enough I did! I got my teeth cleaned and the bad ones removed! While in surgery to remove my uterus my wonderful vet found several Mammary tumors. She removed the biggest one (the size of a lemon) to biopsy it! Well, the biopsy came back and it showed some low grade cancer cells! It has been 2 months now since my huge ordeal, I'm scheduled for this coming week Jan 15th to have the remaining 12 tumors removed! I'm very optimistic though. My favorite past time is napping and chewing on chicken treats. Won't you consider donating to help me and other dogs like me live long, happy & healthy lives. Love, Muffin
